THE CSSR IN BRIEF                      

The centre of social science (CSSR) is an interdisciplinary research centre in Hargaisa, dedicated to conducting and building capacity for systematic, policy-relevant social science research in Somaliland, the region and across Somaliland. Methodologically, CSSR research is empirical, problem-driven and we utilize both quantative and qualitative strategies data collection.

The CSSR’s mission is explore the social and institutional dimensions of Community development and the interaction between human society and the natural world. Focus areas include: policy makers, planning commissions and community organizers in Somaliland development growth and the interplay between ecological and community problems concerns. The CSSR will support social policy to transfer social action with the help of other social institution in Somaliland.
